Here we go again with our 5th Social Media Breakfast at Sagar Ratna Janakpuri.
Breakfast started with an interesting topic decided by our team “Social Media Marketing Vs Traditional Marketing.” Every Friday starts with the healthy breakfast and a healthy discussion!
Anurag started the discussion and he put some light on what is Marketing and its important aspects and then Anushka came up with the point of difference that Traditional marketing is more like interrupting Marketing while Social Media Marketing is not and she also came up with her facts to reach 50 million users Radio took 38 years, TV – 13 years , Internet – 4 years, iPod – 3 years but Face book – 9 months – 100 million users!!! This is like a real example of an impact of Social Media on people!
Puneet came with the live example of Dell where he put up a point of spoiling a brand name by customers in Social Media sometimes.Puneet also added the points of direct user intervention and consumer feedback via Social Media.
Simar explained how Brand Equity is much large in Traditional Marketing than Social Media Marketing. He pointed some facts for Social Media usage in traditional business approach.
Neha came with her point where she explained that cost involved in Social Media is much less than the cost involved in Traditional Marketing and also Social Media is
“Two Way Model” where customers also give their feedback and thereby do its promotion more like Participative and interactive whereas Traditional Marketing is “One way model”.
Harleen came with a point that nowadays Social Media is much quicker in terms of reach as compared to Print Media. They come to know about the misshapenness or some recent breaking News through twitter tweets or the blogs posts which are the tools of Social Media rather than the Newspapers.
Kaushik talked about the 4P’s of Marketing in Traditional Marketing but in Social Media Marketing there is one more P which is ‘Participating’ and explained the same.
Neerja gave a vice-versa thought in Social Media Marketing vs Traditional Marketing. That was a really interesting.
Ashutosh with an example explained how brand equity is more measurable in Social Media than Traditional Marketing
Hitesh focused over the real approach of Social Media and explained how it should not be mixed with traditional approach; he also explained the basics of Social Media.
Komal discussed the points regarding the usage of Traditional Marketing and explained the horizon of Social Media inside traditional marketing.
Daman Anand explained the usage of Blogs and feedback via social media. He also added some interesting queries regarding Twitter.
Prakash, pointed some facts regarding blogging and social media via orkut.
In the end Anurag asked some very relevant Questions like:
