37th SMBTS-Quantitative measures of Social Media campaigns are only a myth?

Here we go with our 37th SMBTS with very interesting topic-Quantitative measures of Social Media campaigns are only a myth? as in Your number of friends/followers don’t matter-A SM myth ?

This is how the winds changed in favour and against the topic :

• Number of followers do matter as the numbers that are important are your power users.

• These numbers or are the people who continue to return to your site, contribute regularly and bring in their friends to add to the discussion.

• Quality is also important but Quantity measures tell you what is your ROI, which gives you a clear picture
• But also whether Quantitative measures matters or not depends on your Business objective, as if your objective is just about building the presence and promoting and no conversion then they become less important than Qualitative measures.

In conclusion Measuring social media is the same as measuring any other marketing tactic. You just need to create your key performance indicators (KPIs) and then be consistent about measuring them which is very important. So Quantitative measures doesn’t matter is a Social Myth, which we should get over right now!!
